Apple plans to launch the thinnest iPhone 7 by 2016

Apple is currently in the limelight this week for its iPhone 6s launch. However, according to published sources, the brand is already working on its next product in the iPhone category which is expected to be unveiled in 2016. The claim was that the thickness of the product will be 6 mm which means that iPhone 7 would be significantly thinner than the brand new iPod Touch and iPad Air 2.

The iPhone 6 currently has a thickness of over 7 mm due to the presence of 7000 series aluminum. If the published sources are taken into account then the iPhone 7 would be significantly thinner. It has also been predicted that this initiative will also ensure that Apple uses the similar technology to power Force Touch in iPhone 7.There have been heavy investments on this technology this year from the brand and its suppliers. It can also be expected that in the coming years the brand will shift to glass-on-glass feature for the Force Touch technology. There is an anticipation that the iPhone 7 will come in a new chassis design. However there is another handset in the market which is already very slim than the anticipated iPhone 7. The Vivo’s X5 Max measures 4.75 mm.
Meanwhile there is a lot of expectations from the new iPhone 6s. The chassis is expected to be somewhat similar to its predecessor. However there will be certain internal upgrades. It is expected that the iPhone 6s will come in with Force Touch input along with the faster A9 processor, a smart 2 GB RAM and higher resolution cameras. It is also foreseen that the brand new rose gold option will be available in this product range. It is likely possible that the model showcases the identical series 7000 aluminum which is currently used in Apple Watch and it will contribute to the durability of the model.
